The Associate Director of OCG (Organized Customer Group) Marketing will provide “state of the art” knowledge and support in development of organized customer marketing strategy for payor segments and channels, programs and pull-through initiatives for both the OCG and field sales forces. This individual will collaborate closely with Brand Marketing, Account Directors, Institutional Sales, Government Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Commercial Analytics, Medical Affairs, Field Sales Management, and Sales Training to ensure development of optimal marketing strategy and pull-through of customer opportunities. This individual will also be expected to keep senior and corporate executives informed about changes and emerging issues in the broad, managed customer environments and the subsequent implications for Sepracor, Inc. Essential Functions • Develop and maintain a thorough, comprehensive and current understanding of the dynamics driving the various organized customer market segments including Managed Care, Medicare and Medicaid. • Identify needs of internal and external customers as they pertain to driving business within the organized customer segments and coordinate development of an OCG strategy for each brand in Sepracor’s portfolio. • Work collaboratively with Account Directors, Brand Marketing, Sales, Medical, Legal, Commercial Analytics and other key internal stakeholders on development and implementation of a payor strategy maximizing opportunities across payor segments and channels. • Design and conduct research with key customer segments to aid in the development of sound managed markets business strategy. • Identify leading trends, channel dynamics and translate to impactful access programs for our brands. • Conduct analysis of payor market opportunities and access/sales performance of Sepracor products. • Develop and manage date base for use in generating reports to communicate Sepracor product access and performance in managed markets channels and segments. • Work with agencies and vendors to develop and produce customer and segment specific information, plans and pull-through materials. • Work closely with all segments of Marketing, Sales and Medical to ensure that knowledge about how internal and external customers are responding to OCG value-based programs/services/initiatives, contracting strategy implementation and pull-through tactics is being shared, understood and acted upon. • Facilitate development and implementation of OCG operating plan for assigned pre-launch and in-line products. • Effectively manage budgets and project timelines associated with OCG initiatives. • Represent Sepracor Marketing with key external customers. • Develop long-term pharmacoeconomic plan and material for internal use and use with external OCG customers. • Collaborate closely with publications department to ensure payor related endpoints are captured in pivotal trials for eventual use with pharmacoeconomic decision-makers. Minimum education requirements Bachelors Experience required 5 - 7 Years Knowledge & skills (general and technical) Education • Bachelors degree required • MBA preferred
Experience • Previous Marketing/Product Management experience • National Account or Regional Account Management experience • Minimum of 5 years experience in pharmaceutical industry, with experience in at least two of four areas: Managed Care, Brand Marketing, Sales or Pharmacy • Minimum one year experience in managed markets marketing • Comprehensive understanding of US healthcare system including providers, payors and influencers • Analytical skills including experience in conducting research, data mining, modeling, contract analysis • Demonstrated negotiation skills • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated understanding of project management processes and tools • Ability to identify problems and barriers and quickly assimilate information to develop actionable and effective solutions • Ability to influence others • Ability to interact widely and effectively across all levels and departments within Sepracor • Experience in facilitation • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills • Organized customer segment experience from the customer perspective • Must be hands on and comfortable working in a matrix environment Confidential Data All information (written, verbal, electronic, etc.) that an employee encounters while working at Sepracor is considered confidential.
