Responsible for successful negotiation, development, implementation and management of contract strategy, contracts and contractual relationships within assigned customer segments by working with National Account Directors, Legal, Finance, contract customers, and other business partners such as wholesalers. Essential Functions ? Constructively identifies, examines, and plans contract business opportunities with National Account Directors, Regional Operating Teams, and senior management ? Proactively explores and develops customer contract strategy and offerings based on industry knowledge, business analysis, and company objectives using analytic models and data ? Negotiates and supports negotiations with contract customers with National Account Directors and other management ? Manages and executes business and legal contractual requirements of contracts within assigned customer segments, to include correct pricing, notifications, rebates, administrative fees, reporting, determining, tracking and advising of validity periods, renewals, extensions and amendments ? Determines, develops, and executes in working with Legal, National Account management, and Regional Operating Teams, necessary contractual arrangements and documents to secure contract business agreements. Works with contract customers and other business partners such as wholesalers to communicate and implement agreement terms ? Oversees preparation, submittal, dissemination and administration of business information, such as membership, purchase, utilization, and rebate data, necessary to support contract business and to inform customers, management, and sales of contract business performance ? Analyzes and estimates sales activity within customer segments to determine trends, patterns, opportunities, or risks, and reports to Finance and to management of actual and estimated financial impact and liabilities from contract sales ? Establishes necessary relationships and communication across department, Legal, Finance, sales management and customers to support successful contract development and implementation ? Maintains currency in assigned customer segment to evaluate and advise management on contract business opportunities, risks, and trends ? Proactively identifies and resolves contract business issues with assigned customers through self and other departments such as Legal, Finance, and Sales, as deemed necessary. ? Builds relationships with contract customers, industry sources, and other departments to support objectives and responsibilities. ? Application of company resources to validate, analyze, and report contract indirect sales activity reported by wholesalers and other end-users ? Accomplish other objectives and responsibilities as warranted by manager Minimum education requirements Bachelors Experience required 5 - 7 Years Knowledge & skills (general and technical) Education
Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Business, or Sciences required. MBA preferred.
Experience
Five years or more of progressive pharmaceutical industry experience required. Excellent analytical skills, ability to evaluate contract profitablility. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
