1. Accountable for ensuring the maximization of sales force competency and performance via Training and Development. Measurement based on using performance-based metrics tied to sales results.
2. Manage the direction, development, planning, and outcomes of sales training & development initiatives and activities to support commercial and brand goals and objectives.
Essential Functions 1. Develop and manage direct reports. (Training & Development Specialists)
2. Design, develop, and deliver training & development programs that support commercial and brand goals and objectives within agreed timelines, budget, PMRC process and quality standards.
3. Identify and monitor project risks, barriers, and obstacles, and develop contingency plans as necessary.
4. Research, recommend and deliver blended learning solutions for New Hire and Advanced Training, Plan of Action (POA) meetings, Field Leadership Training, and National Sales meetings.
5. Manage training budget for all costs including: program development and delivery, staffing, outsourcing, and other training-related costs.
6. Provide leadership and resources necessary in executing the organizational development plans targeted towards increasing internal “bench strength” to support the organizational needs.
7. Analyze and solve highly complex people performance issues, specifically at the Sales Representative level, and develop alternative solutions to assist Sales Leadership in resolving performance issues to maintain productivity.
8. Stay abreast of trends within the training and development field and adopt new approaches as appropriate.
Minimum education requirements Bachelors
Experience required 3 - 5 Years

9. Knowledge of specialty pharmaceutical markets, business acumen,advanced selling skills and managed care.
Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required) • Minimum of 2 years pharmaceutical sales training experience
• Minimum of 2 years pharmaceutical sales management/leadership experience with a documented track-record.
• Advanced certifications in training design and development are preferred
• Project management and pharmaceutical specialty representative experience is a plus
• Computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

Mental/Physical Requirements Fast paced environment handling multiple demands. Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Requires ability to use a personal computer for extended periods of time.
Demands during peak times may require work hours outside of normal working hours. Meetings may also be scheduled outside of normal working hours. Occasional travel may be required.
