Under general direction, helps with software product evaluations, coordinates the planning, implementation/installation, and testing of new corporate applications software and systems. Performs a variety of administrative, technical and maintenance tasks to support application operation, troubleshooting of application performance, inspects and resolves system problems quickly and efficiently, develops reports and ancillary software, and maintains system security. Interfaces with system users, and vendor contacts. Assists in business application and desktop service planning. Administers and maintains Web and Client-server applications, running in an Oracle, SQL Server, Internet/Intranet, Windows, Linux, and UNIX environment.

Analyzes and supervises implementation projects which include both managerial and project task level activities. Prepares work schedules and monitors resources. Insures that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget; performs cost control activities; monitors revenues and expenditures in assigned area to assure sound fiscal control; assists in preparation of annual budget requests; assures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time.
Essential Functions Considerable knowledge of system configuration, troubleshooting, security, and resource monitoring.
Knowledge of project and vendor management. Skill in operating the listed tools and equipment.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing;
Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience;
Ability to develop and maintain assigned programs and systems;
Ability to troubleshoot assigned programs and systems;
Ability to meet project deadlines;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, consultants, peers and supervisors;
Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions;
Ability to follow or give verbal and written instructions, as applicable.
Minimum education requirements Bachelors
Experience required 5 - 7 Years
Knowledge & skills (general and technical) Experience
At lease 4-6 years work experience in the information technology or related technical field or any equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years Pharmaceutical industry experience, specifically in areas such as Government Pricing, Contract Management, Adjudication, and Managed Care, using Model N and/or IMany CARS/IS software. Some knowledge of Pharmaceutical Government Pricing Regulations is a desirable
Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required) Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and Oracle Fusion Middleware is a plus
