1. Manage the day to day activities of the Training and Development Specialist’s (TDS) through Coaching and Counseling. Responsibilities include Mid-Year and Annual performance reviews through the corporate Human Resources process and Quarterly Personal Objectives.
2. Manage the creation, development and execution of Inline Expansion of Specialty Sales forces and Development programs to support the division.
3. Key stakeholder in the strategic development of brand training to meet the current market objectives, by collaborating with extended brand team members.
4. Responsibilities include the creation of training content and the management of its approval through PMRC and delivery to the field representatives through the Specialty Markets Field sales Management team during Field Leadership Training (FLT) and Plan Of Action (POA) meetings.
5. Manage the logistics of Phase I and Phase II Training, along with the Business Planning for the Division within the various brands responsibilities.
6. Accountable for ensuring the maximization of sales force competency and performance via Training and Development. Measurement based on performance-based metrics tied to sales results. Tracking both new launch and existing brands performance.
7. Provide resources necessary in executing the organizational development plans targeted towards increasing internal “bench strength” to support the expansion needs of the organization.
8. Undertake an annual “Needs Analysis” of the Divisions business objectives and key strategies to insure that the training curriculum is meeting the expectations and delivering on the business goals aligned with the strategic vision of the division and the training function.
9. Manage the training budget for all aspects of training costs including: staffing, outsourcing costs, training program delivery, materials production, training facility costs, speaker’s honorarium, participant travel expenses including air/ground, food and accommodation costs.
10. Analyze and solve highly complex people performance issues, specifically at the Sales Representative level, and develop alternative solutions to assist Field Sales Management to resolve training performance issues and maintain a high level of productivity.
11. Develop customized solutions to meet local expansion needs where appropriate.
12. Provide support and direction to Field Sales Management to ensure all Sales Representatives are provided training to maximize their potential.
13. Manage the orientation on-boarding process and on-the-job rotations for new Sales Representatives to maximize the ramp-up of new individuals to the Specialty Markets sales organization.
14. Work with Area Sales Directors (ASD) to plan, implement and facilitate area or regional POA meetings, based on overall guidelines provided by Home Office.
15. Collect metrics to evaluate training delivered to the field to ensure consistency, quality and effectiveness.
16. Manage the administration and attendance of regional participants attending both corporate, regional and district training programs.
17. Manage local training records and ensure all records are current and maintained accurately and provided to Home Office Training Staff as requested with the collaboration of the Learning Management System colleagues for The Sepracor University (TSU).
18. Demonstrate superior knowledge of adult learning principles and the requirements for development and implementation of appropriate training interventions based upon the audience.
19. Stay abreast of trends within the training and development field and adopt new approaches as appropriate to remain up to date and ahead of our competitors programs.
Essential Functions 1. Responsible for critical expansion training functions including curriculum planning, and execution, POA development, Ancillary training program development.
2. Assess National and Regional expansion leadership training needs and ensure the sales force is adequately prepared for new product launches and ongoing training to maximize business results
3. Determine training priorities within the Regions to ensure the effective rollout of corporate initiatives
4. Accountable for ensuring the maximization of sales force competency and performance via Training and Development. Measurement based on using performance-based metrics tied to sales results.
5. Tracking and Management of LMS system for specified programs and projects
6. Work interdepartmentally throughout the commercial and corporate organization in accomplishing training projects.
7. Previous working knowledge of the Promotional Review Materials Committee (PMRC) and experience in the steps required for approvals.
Minimum education requirements Bachelors
Experience required 3 - 5 Years
Knowledge & skills (general and technical) 1. Strong planning and organizational skills, analytical thinking skills and creative problem solving.
2. Ability to work effectively with multiple levels of management across brands and departments.
3. Superior understanding of adult learning principles and how to utilize them based upon the audience.
4. Demonstrated ability to hold others accountable to deadlines and responsibilities.
5. Commanding knowledge of the Specialty Markets Business Acumen and Payor Landscape.
6. Work collaboratively in a team environment across departments and all levels of employees.
7. Creative, out of the box thinking to solve occurring business dilemmas.
8. Excellent communication/presentation skills, both oral and written with a keen sense to reading your audience.
9. Two years expertise in Sales Training development and designing content to ensure credibility with Sales Professionals.
10. Strong computer skills in Power Point, Word, and Excel and important.
Education
Bachelors Degree (preferably in business or life sciences), MBA helpful

Experience
Minimum of 2 year sales training (specialty representative experience is a plus) and 2 years sales management/leadership with demonstrated mastery of the job accountabilities. Minimum of 2 years Project Management experience. Advanced Certifications in Training Design and Development are preferred.
Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required) Additional training design certifications are a plus.
